One of the best years ever.
Not a care in the world.
Great music, two-tone and all different others, east end pubs buzzing, mini-cabs between pubs, hookey gear all over the gaff, pool/dart teams, loads of parties and getting hold of a bird or two, 1st holiday abroad, proper Christmas time, someone getting their 1st flat, living for the weekend and being with all your mates over West Ham! (and then Sunday pub teams....etc etc).

Aged 12.....another bad school report.

Could try harder to learn and stop being the class clown.

Beat up a kid who kicked my football over the school fence. Sat on his chest and kept kneeing him under the chin.

Miss world 1979.

Whats thats tingly feeling in my woo woo?

I was glued to the John Peel show every time.
There was always something new and interesting to listen to.
Red Frame White Light and Electricity by OMD sporng to mind and, of course, Joy Division.
Also the Damned released Machine Gun Etiquette
.

and then there's this:

which I regard as a classic pop single in a weird way.

Speaking of Highway to Hell I see there is talk of commemorating the song by closing Canning Highway in Perth which runs from Fremantle where Bon Scott lived to the Raffles Hotel and playing a tribute concert.
